The 20-minute subscription reset
A small ritual. A clearer picture of where your money goes.
Start with the full picture
Review the last three months of bank and card statements, then check app-store subscriptions and annual receipts. List each service, amount, billing cycle, next renewal, and the person who uses it. Do not share card numbers or bank credentials in your inventory. A manual audit can miss services, so verify the list against your own statements.
Put every cost on the same scale
Divide annual fees by 12 to compare monthly-equivalent costs. Multiply monthly fees by 12 for an annual projection. These projections assume current prices stay unchanged; they do not include taxes or one-time purchases unless you enter them. Download the template below or use Renewra's free audit workspace.
Decide what earns its place
Mark each subscription active, rarely used, or unused based on your own experience. Look for two tools doing the same job. Keep what matters, and review everything else. A review flag is a prompt, not proof that a service should be canceled.
Act before renewal—not after
Check each provider's cancellation instructions, minimum term, and notice period. Save any work or files you need before canceling. Cancel directly with the provider and keep its confirmation; changing a record in Renewra does not change your provider subscription.
Repeat the reset
Review your inventory each month and before a large annual renewal. Export a backup of your workspace and download calendar events for key dates. The current workspace stores data only in this browser; it does not send automatic email alerts.
