A practical path for real credit-report errors
Review the record. Document what is wrong. Use the free official process yourself.
Get your consumer reports through the official free route
Start with your own consumer credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com. Review each report carefully; a credit report is not the same thing as a credit score. Renewra does not pull reports, store them, or ask you to upload them.
Separate a real reporting error from an unfavorable fact
Mark information that appears inaccurate: an account that is not yours, a wrong balance or payment history, a duplicate entry, or a record connected to identity theft. A current negative item that is accurate is not automatically an error simply because it is harmful or frustrating.
Build evidence outside this planner
For each specific inaccuracy, write what is wrong and why. Keep copies—not originals—of records such as proof of payment or correspondence, and keep delivery and response records. Do not put documents, account numbers, Social Security numbers, or passwords into Renewra.
Use direct, free dispute routes with both parties
Consumers can dispute genuine inaccuracies directly with the credit reporting company and with the company that furnished the information, at no charge. Follow each organization’s current official instructions, explain the specific error, include appropriate copies of evidence, and review the response. Renewra does not submit a dispute or complaint for you.
Keep accurate negative information in perspective
Accurate current negative information generally cannot be promised away. Do not make false-identity or frivolous disputes. If a record is inaccurate, duplicated, or tied to identity theft, use the official process for that issue; no deletion, score increase, or loan approval is guaranteed.
Use the official identity-theft recovery path when needed
If you think an entry results from identity theft, begin with IdentityTheft.gov and the affected reporting companies’ official instructions. That official path can help you organize next steps. Renewra does not file an identity-theft report, credit freeze, dispute, or CFPB complaint on your behalf.
Save records and check later reports
Keep responses securely, note what was actually resolved, and review later reports for corrections. This educational roadmap is not legal advice, a credit-score assessment, or a service guarantee; timing and outcomes depend on the facts and the organizations involved.
